The Association of American Sociologists


The Association of American Sociologists is an international association that seeks to advance theory and research in the sociology field. It traces its roots to scholars in search of a hospitable place for both empirical study and social criticism animated by current sociology theories. Our   members come from all continents of the world, and their interests and perspectives are just as diverse and global. The Association of American Sociologists encourages and facilitates networking among members, and sharing of research that ranges widely across the multiple themes and approaches in the study of the different areas of interest of sociology. The Association is a focal point for comparative, historical and theoretical contributions to the field of sociology, where all members can exchange views and develop discussions. In addition, the Association of American Sociologists facilitates the interdisciplinary sharing of members’ interests with sociologists and scholars of the countless areas of application of the discipline of sociology, such as in micro and macro economics, consumer behavior science, company organization and management and many more.
