The American Society of Psychologists
The American Society of Psychologists is a professional organization that represents professional psychologists from all over the world. The mission of the American Society of Psychologists is to advance psychology as a science and profession and as a means of promoting health, education, and human welfare by the encouraging professional of the different psychology fields to network and engage in a fruitful exchange of research and professional experiences in the practice of psychology in all its branches, in the broadest and most liberal manner. The Association goals are to increase and diffuse psychological knowledge among its members, and to promote research and sharing of knowledge among its members. Psychology is the study of the mind and behavior. The discipline embraces all aspects of the human experience — from the functions of the brain to the actions of nations, from child development to care for the aged. In every conceivable setting from scientific research centers to mental health care services, "the understanding of behavior" is the enterprise of psychologists. The members of the American Society of Psychologists work in many different areas of psychology, among which addiction, advertising, consumer behavior science, education, family issues, engineering and many more.
