The process of Accreditation

The main aim of accreditation is to make sure that the accredited Associations and Guilds in the relevant sectors meet the levels of quality which have been set up by the accrediting Agency (UNPAA).

The system is well known in the United States where third parties undertake such role.  In Europe Accreditation bodies are mostly Governmental.

The UNPAA accreditation system works on two different planes:

a)     General accreditation, whose aim is the certification of an Association or Guild as a whole.

b)     Specialized accreditation, whose aim is the vetting of specific offers and characteristics which are made available to the members by the individual agencies and guilds.
